Introducing Aries Exchange (Testnet)
We introduce Aries Exchange (Testnet) on Aurora testnet with the main objective to facilitate the Aries Protocol incentivized testing program, and any 3rd party developer who would like to test their DeFi projects in the Aurora ecosystem.
The exchange interface is hosted on https://dex.testnet.aries.so/.
In addition, there are 3 ERC20 test token contracts deployed. The contracts have a claim faucet function that allows any user to claim 100,000 test tokens every 24 hours. You can then use the tokens on Aries Exchange Testnet to simulate trading or liquidity providing.

All tokens are in 18 decimals. You can look them up on the Testnet Explorer, navigate to the “Write Contract” tab, then connect your wallet with AuroraScan in order to call the claim function. You can also look up the GitHub repo for more details.

Why do we need a DEX on Aurora Testnet?
Coming from a software engineering background, we understand that a great developer experience is vital to the growth of new ecosystems like Aurora and NEAR. Aurora is the home of Aries Protocol, and we are here to help the platform to broaden its reach to wider developer community.
Aries Exchange (Testnet) is purely a community service since our team doesn’t have plans to launch a DEX on mainnet at the moment. We started this for ourselves because there were no DEXes with a UI on the testnet, but Aries Protocol is launching a public beta soon, and normal users won’t be able to properly test the app without a DEX UI.
